I like to explore our tendency to overthink and overcomplicate. I do this by considering a simple, everyday item or idea and then imagine how it could quasi-mechanically come to life in an overly complicated and often ridiculous way. This results in these compelling sort of machines that seem like a total mess at first, but end up being something you find yourself pulled into as you explore all the little details.

I work with a limited palette to shine a light on this complexity. I prefer black linework on white backgrounds and like to challenge myself to see how much detail, depth and complexity I can achieve with the fewest ingredients.

I create murals and large-scale display, and design for product and retail. I also partner with brands to create limited edition products and goodies. I’ve also been told I look like some guy named Dino Valentini. But that’s just NOT TRUE. I’m not sure who’s been saying that, but I’m like, a totally different dude.
